About our engineer
Jimmy Richards is a musician, producer and writer based in Glasgow, Scotland. He has worked in the business since the age of 15, working primarily in studios and as a session bassist. His own music has received some local airplay, with his song “Ice Cream” being one of the last tracks to be featured on Jim Gelatly’s New Music show on XFM.
In 2009, he was commissioned to write and produce the song “Soi Dogs” for an independent documentary of the same name, which told the story of a small charity based in Phuket, Thailand, which runs a shelter for the city’s massive number of stray cats and dogs (“soi dogs” translates literally as “street dogs”).
This year, as well as having founded Bookish Beats, he has started working as a remixer and DJ under the aliasĀ Future Super Villain. He has already released several remixes of popular songs through his Soundcloud page, and has plans to release a debut single in early 2013.
